Air Canada celebrates its 75 years with many events |

Air Canada's predecessor, Trans-Canada Air Lines (TCA) inaugurated its
first flight on September 1, 1937. The 50-minute flight aboard a
Lockheed L-10A carried two passengers and mail between Vancouver and
Seattle costed passengers $14.20 for a return ticket.

By 1964,
TCA had grown to become Canada's national airline; it changed its name
to Air Canada. Seventy-five years later from it's first inaugural flight
, Canada’s flag carrier celebrates its 75th Anniversary with debut of
Boeing 787 Dreamliner in Canada; promotion to 75 destinations within
North America; Canada Post stamp unveiling and an Air Canada fashion
show. Air Canada’s flying Lockheed L-10A CF-TCC was also on display.

the "People, Places and Planes: Air Canada at 75" exhibition opens at
the Canada Aviation and Space Museum in Ottawa. If you are not around
