Today, Vietnam Airlines has officially announced to their agents about the temporary termination of direct flights between Hanoi and Chengdu (China) from August 1, 2012.
|
Thus, only after 1 month of mining, Vietnam Airlines have to stop operating this route due to a request from China to adjust. The indirect flight specified by China is almost double the current total flight time which lead to the ineffective operation.
Vietnam Airlines officially launched new direct flights between Hanoi and Chengdu using Fokker 70 aircraft from June 27, with a frequency of three flights per week on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Accordingly, the flights will depart from Hanoi at 12h10 and from Chengdu at 16h15 (local time) for about 2 hours flying.
Thus, the total number of weekly flights between Vietnam and China operated by Vietnam Airlines would be reduced to 33 from 36 flights before.
