VALC delivery of Airbus A321-200 to Vietnam Airlines |

On August 22, at the base of aircraft manufacturer Airbus (Hamburg,
Germany), Vietnam Airlines Corporation has received the first A321-200
aircraft.

Contract to buy ten A321-200 aircrafts has been signed by Airbus and Vietnam Aircraft Leasing Joint-stock Company (VALC). Vietnam Airlines will lease the aircraft from VALC for operation.
A321-200 is a modern medium-range aircraft and one of the passenger aircraft used by many countries in the world. It also appropriate for the conditions of operating in Vietnam.
In addition to the above project, VALC has successfully purchased and then rent out five ATR72-500s to Vietnam Airlines in 2010; as well as one EC155-B1 helicopter to North Helicopter Company in 2011.
VALC was established in 2007 by some founding shareholders such as Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), Vietnam Airlines Corporation, Petroleum Finance Corporation, VinaCapital...
Financial institutions investing the projects A321 of VALC are Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), Bank of Tokyo – Mitsubishi UFJ (BTMU), KfW Ipex – Bank GmbH (KfW), Landesbank Hessen – Thüringen Girozentrale (Helaba) and AKA Export Finance Bank (AKA).
